Countryartisten Hank Thompson har avlidit, 82 år gammal, rapporterar AP. Thompson, som drabbats av lungcancer, dog på tisdagen i sitt hem i Fort Worth, en förort till staden Keller i Texas.Hank Thompsons karriär sträcker sig ända tillbaka till fyrtiotalet. Mellan 1948 och 1975 nådde han den amerikanska singellistans topp 10 inte mindre än 29 gånger. Bland hans mest kända låtar finns "Humpty dumpty heart" och "A six pack to go". Han valdes in i Country Music Hall of Fame 1989 och Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame 1997. Hank Thompson gjorde sitt sista liveframträdande den 8 oktober i år i hemstaden Waco i Texas. (TT Spektra)
